The City of Brooks and County of Newell are launching a new campaign called ‘Newell Proud.’ The purpose of this endeavor is to promote local business and encourage people to shop local – a couple things we like to do also!
RyKie Images & Events is throwing its support behind this initiative, and we hope you do, too. Every time you support a local business, you’re directly affecting the prosperity in the County of Newell. You are helping people survive this recession. You are putting food on the table of a family.
We all know how enticing it is to take a trip to Medicine Hat or Calgary. Many people point to how much cheaper goods and services are in the cities, and they’re right. However, a trip to the city also includes fuel costs, at least one meal, and at least a few hours to travel. Taking those factors into consideration, you’re actually saving money by buying local – from your friends and neighbours.
BUT, you’ve heard all that before. We want to do something a little different.
